Your Last Month of Summer

Spend it wisely by roadtripping across the US to find out where you want to live and who you truly are.  Do not spend another year slaving away in a cubicle thinking you're going to get promoted to "Vice Reserve Manager."  Get in your car, grab a back pack, grab your tooth brush, and go.  And if you happen to know some young man or woman who is lost this summer and is really milquetoast about college, their future or their career, get themCaptain Capitalism

The Pettiness of the Left

It was when driving across Arizona I had a small, but important epiphany.  I had the cheapest car I could rent, a cell phone approaching 3 years old, Wal-Mart attire, and would be sleeping on buddy's couch instead of having my own hotel room.  Yet, despite these hallmarks of a lower-middle income life, I was perfectly happy, for soon I would be meeting my best friend for some hiking on some of Phoenix's finest trails.

But then it dawned on me.

One of these trails (Camelback Peak) was located in the prestigious "Paradise Valley" neighborhood of Phoenix.  This ...

Rollo Publishes His Third Book

I believe I mentioned it before, but wanted to make sure I mentioned it again, Rollo (of Rollo Tomassi AND Tap Whisky fame), has published his third book "The Rational Male - Positive Masculinity."

I have not read the book yet, but he has reliably informed me it will be available in audio in 4-6 months, at wh...

The Silicon Valley Bubble

Interesting read from  Apparently the advertising revenue is not manifesting itself like it should, nor resulting in the sales internet advertising promised. I personally know that Facebook ads are completely pointless, doing absolutely nothing to raise sales of books or Asshole Consulting.  Additionally, with YouTube cutting people's commission on their YouTube channels, I asked the simple question "Why not make your own personal ads on YouTube" instead of relying on YouTube's advertising partners.

Also, it was interesting to see how he painted the "FANG's" are mere middle men, which they are, even though they own the social ...

Why Online Liberal Arts Colleges are a Good Thing

At first I was pissed.

I viewed online courses and the internet much like I do telecommuting - it was an innovation that would lead to genuine, revolutionary changes that would DRASTICALLY improve the lives of millions of Americans.  Telecommuting would eliminate rush hour, lower companies' lease expenses, and improve family stability beyond what any government program ever could.  It would usher in a new golden age of America, and its people would live dramatically improved lives for it.

Ergo, just like telecommuting held great promise for humanity, so to did online colleges and education.

The BEST ...

How Stupid People Caused the Sub Prime Auto Loan Bubble

Not once is it suggested that people who are so stupid as to sign up for a 25%, 7 year auto loan on a USED CAR are the ones responsible and, like liberal arts majors, deserve to have their financial lives ruined for the rest of their life.

The fact the media and people are automatically programmed to think these people are victims only reinforces my "let it burn" attitude and commitment to enjoying the decline.
